“NCKU is very well-known in Taiwan, consistently ranking among the top 3 universities in Taiwan.”
My name is Yosaton Tungmanelatkul (I go by Yo) and I’m from Tennessee in the United States. I’m currently a second year graduate student of the International Masters of Business Administration (IMBA) at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU).
Studying in Tainan has led to some unbelievable stories; I could go on for days about different adventures I’ve been on since I have been here. What can I say—the people here are warm and friendly, the weather is hot (which I love), the food is known for being delicious here, and the cost of living is low.
Tainan is the perfect place to save money, make timeless memories, learn Chinese (and Taiwanese!), and receive an AASCB-accredited MBA degree. NCKU is also very well-known in Taiwan, consistently ranking among the top 3 universities in Taiwan.
“Many of the classes encourage classroom participation and discussion, which helps me to better grasp the content of the lecture.”
The IMBA program at NCKU has several extremely talented professors with doctorate degrees from places like the United States and England. They are all genuinely dedicated to making sure their students understand the content matter. Many of the classes encourage classroom participation and discussion, which helps me to better grasp the content of the lecture.
This also leads to really interesting class discussions because of the diverse student body in the IMBA program. There are students from Japan, United States, France, Germany, Taiwan, and Thailand… even the Solomon Islands! This helps to not only better understand the subject matter of the class, but to hear different perspectives from a global standpoint.
Studying abroad is a great way to grow as an individual, learn about a culture other than your own (while sharing your own culture with others), and make some fun stories to tell your grandkids when you get old. Don’t miss your chance!
